At Allensworth, we’re proud to announce the recent elections and appointments of several of our attorneys to prominent positions within state and local bar associations. It is an honor to be asked to serve in these capacities, and we’re committed to contributing to the advancement of the legal profession.

Matthew Ryan continues his service to the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry as a Steering Committee Member for Division 3 (Design). The Forum is committed to serving the construction industry through education and leadership while building the best construction lawyers. Division 3’s mission is to provide practical knowledge concerning the problems and needs, risks and rewards, and duties and liabilities of each of the parties involved in the design process, with particular emphasis on design delivery and implementation, construction project development, professional liability insurance, and project economics and financing in both the public and private sectors.

Will W. Allensworth has been elected as a Council Member for the State Bar of Texas Construction Law Section. This Section boasts over 2,500 members, including legal professionals from both public and private sectors involved in the practice of construction law. The Section provides quality continuing legal education (CLE) and networking opportunities, helping members stay abreast of the latest legal developments in the construction industry.

Karly Houchin has been elected as the Young Lawyer Representative for both the State Bar of Texas Construction Law Section and the State Bar of Texas Insurance Law Section. The Insurance Law Section, with approximately 2,300 members, promotes collegiality and educates the bench, bar, and public about Texas insurance law.

Matt Roland has been elected as a Council Member for the Austin Bar Association Construction Law Section. This Section, founded in 1998, comprises more than 170 Austin-area construction lawyers from both private and public sectors. It works closely with the Austin Bar, State Bar, and other organizations to further projects related to the legal profession, particularly in construction law. The Section provides professional development opportunities and fosters communication about critical issues in Texas construction law.

Caroline Hall has been appointed by State Bar of Texas President Steve Benesh to serve as a Committee Member for the State Bar of Texas Women in the Profession Committee. This Committee assesses the status of women in the legal profession, identifies barriers to full participation, develops educational programs to address discrimination, and makes recommendations for action.

Congratulations to Matt Ryan, Will Allensworth, Karly Houchin, Matt Roland, and Caroline Hall on these significant achievements. Their dedication to serving the legal community exemplifies the commitment and excellence that Allensworth strives for every day. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in their new roles.
